  • Center for Educational Technology is offering the following trainings:


    1. Compilation and usage of Open Educational Resources - 2 ECTS, 280 € per participant

    The aim of the course is to provide the participants with practical skills for compiling and sharing educational resources in web based environments. It also gives an overview of the philosophical back ground of the subject and authorization issues concerned with educational resources.

    The course is 100% web based. Lecturer is Hans Põldoja

    2. Personal Learning Environments – 3 ECTS, 192 € per participant

    The aim of the course is to introduce the concept of personal learning environment and to give the participant an overview of technical equipment as well as practical guidance for creating and using personal learning environment. The course also shows different scenarios of personal learning environments in studying.

    The course is 100% web based. Lecturers Terje Väljataga and Kairit Tammets

    3.  The principals of creating e-course for disabled people - 4 ECTS,  256 € per participant

    The aim of the course is to give the participants an over view of the most common special needs, problems that occur in e-learning and possible solutions.

    The course is mainly web based with one contact day. Lecturer is Kaido Kikkas

    4. Reference management in e-learning – 2 ECTS, 128 € per participant

    The aim of the course is to give the participants on overview and basic knowledge on reference management in e-learning

    The course is 100% web-based. Lecturer is Hans Põldoja

    5. M-learning - 1,5 ECTS, 96 € per participant.

    The aim of the course is to introduce  new mobile technologies and devices, how to use those devices in teaching and theories supporting M-learning.

    The course is with two contact days, in between these two days participants need to work through independently additional material in web-based environment. Lecturers are  Priit Tammets and Mart Laanpere

    6. E-portfolio as a support tool for professional progress - 3 ECTS, 192 € per participant

    The aim of the course is to give the teacher a practical experience on how to use e-portfolio as a personal learning environment and theoretical overview on different aspects of how to use e-portfolio. The main focus is on planning teacher’s personal progress and competency based trainings, giving at the same time overview on relevant notions like personal learning environment, privacy issues while using e-portfolio, grading e-portfolio and digital me.

    The course is 100% web-based. Lecturers are Kairit Tammets and Mart Laanpere

    7. Problem-based learning in schools with social software - 3 ECTS, 192 € per participant

    The aim of the course is to give the teachers practical experience on how to conduct problem-based learning with ICT tools with the help of new web-based social software tools. The participants will be introduced with theoretical aspects and conducting possibilities of authentic problem-based learning, using different social software.

    The course is with two contact days, in between them will be web-based communication and independent work. Lecturers are Kai Pata and Eve Tagavälja

    8. Learning objects’ repositories - 1,5 ECTS, 96 € per participants

    The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge about metadata and repositories, their field of usage and necessity, give guidelines how to look up  learning materials from different databases and increase the probability of others finding self made materials by writing them with apropiate data.

    The course is 100% web-based, there will be two online meetings. Lecturer is Martin Sillaots

    9. Learning and teaching with social software –  4,5 ECTS, 288 € per participant

    The aim of the course is to give an overview of new teaching methods with the help of social software, provide the participants with skills to use social software in teaching and to introduce new paradigms in learning and teaching

    The course is 100% web-based. Lecturers are Terje Väljataga and Kairit Tammets

    10. New technologies in e-learning 2.0 – 6 ECTS, 384 € per

    The course introduces new Web 2.0 technologies in learning and teaching. The introduced moduls are as follows: introductory, my learning, collaborative learning, mobile learning, multimodal learning, planning activity research.

    The course is 100% web-based. Lecturers are Mart Laanpere, Priit Tammets and Kairit Tammets

Based on the specification of the client, we can also put together an individual training program.
